EXCORCIST MAGAZINE

The Excorcist magazine cover portrays the horror/thriller genre i want to portray. Its striking image is very dominant and almost unbearable to look at. A very shocking image which immediatley gains the audiences attention. Its very much central and the key attraction of the front cover. The use of icy blues and greens with the bloody colours of red send that chilling look of excitment but fear. The beaming eyes and long black hair only add to the horific atmosphere sending that cold chill down your spine. Whats striking about this image is that its a child which only makes it more painful and a person feels sorry for her pain.

This medium/close up shot gives us a good insight to detail and the imag eitself is to the point and very bold. Eye catching and intense the image is very well presented clearly portraying its menacing look.
Only 2 font styles are used throughout to make the text clear and easy to read. green, white and yellow are used in the text colour which makes it simple and not contrasting with the image or overpowring its central position. The main title of the magazine is at the top of the page with a larger font size for the obvious reason as it is key that the audience knows what the film about.
All the writing is very much aligned and with subheading spliting each section. As you can seee there is very little wrting just to convey the main points about the film however the image itself portrays more to us than anything else.
